Dear Evolve Community,
I am so looking forward to meeting you all in 5 weeks, practicing in your beautiful studio again, and being in the presence of my dearest friends Carson and Katie (you are all so lucky to have them at your fingertips)!
The Spring Equinox is less than a month away and I know after this crazy winter you will be ready for the relief of Spring! I have been fortunate to spend the last few years of my life almost constantly immersed in the teachings of yoga and Ayurveda while communing with nature as the mountain lifestyle here in Vail, CO provides, and I have come to the conclusion that there is no teacher like nature to help us understand the cycles of our lives.
The junction point of two seasons in Ayurveda is known as “Ritusandhi” and is considered the most important time to engage in the cleansing rituals that yoga provides us. Although we can barely resist the urge to throw ourselves into the thawing of the season, the effect of two seasons essentially playing tug of war on our bodies can create disharmony in seasonal allergies and colds, and lethargy if we don’t enter with caution.
My intention for the weekend is to offer you an understanding of Ayurveda that will serve your yoga practice, reuniting the two disciplines, and instill in you a deep devotion for both solar and lunar rituals within your yoga practice. In short, come and enjoy education, inspiration, movement and rest!
Stay warm, and I hope to see you soon.
Special Guest Julia Clarke’s signature Spring Flow & Restore Weekend is a month out! Enroll for all three for $60 and save $11. Or, enroll in each workshop individually to suit your schedule and interests.

Bhava Vinyasa: Flow & Restore for Equanimity
Sunday, March 29, 2015 – 2-4pm – $25
From an Ayurvedic perspective, Winter is the season to cherish lunar or restorative practices, while Spring’s igniting energy signals the shift to fire stoking practices that build heat and initiate the inner thaw. The transition between the two should be handled gracefully to avoid seasonal woes of lethargy and sinus colds, and support your body’s natural detox… Julia Clarke is a yoga teacher and Maharishi Ayurvedic Wellness Consultant whose path has brought her from Scotland to Vail, CO.
Julia’s classes weave her deep connection with nature and her love of Ayurveda through dynamic and challenging Vinyasa Flow, contemplative Yin Yoga and thoughtful Restorative Yoga. Her root teachers are Shiva Rea, Shannon Paige and Douglas Brooks. Julia is the Yoga Director for the Vail Vitality Center, and leads workshops and trainings across the country.
CEUs provided. Julia will be returning in the fall to lead an Anjali Restorative Teacher Training!
