Techniques I teach/provide:

Alignment base yoga style.

I've been at Evolve since:

I’ve been taking classes at Evolve for many years. I taught yoga at the
North Raleigh location until it closed.

When I'm not teaching at Evolve, you can find me:

I love spending time with my family. I have 2 daughters: my oldest is in her
4th year of Dental School and an artist. My youngest is a nurse at Duke
Hospital. She works in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. I tell her
she’s an angel to those children. I love walking with my husband, reading,
and spending time with my parents and extended family. (My brother has
triplets and an older sibling; so playing with them is always entertaining!).

My favorite thing about teaching at Evolve is:

I love sharing yoga with the community. Helping students open their hearts
and express their authentic selves on the yoga mat, bringing a smile to
their faces, and watching how yoga transforms them into happy, peaceful
people is very up lifting

My morning routine is:

I love mornings - the quiet stillness as a new day is beginning to unfold.
Every morning I meditate, read spiritual books/scripture, walk 3 miles in the
woods, and practice yoga.

I'm inspired by:

Watching people do yoga, reading, learning about health and nutrition,
listening to beautiful music, hiking in the mountains, watching the sunrise
and set, watching the phases of the moon, hearing the wind blow, listening
to a thunderstorm, being at the beach watching the ocean, hiking to the top
of a mountain

Best advice I've received:

“Health is wealth, peace of mind is happiness, and yoga will show you the way.”
“Be not afaid, I go before you always, come folow me and I wil give you rest.”
John 6, 16-21
The 23rd Psalm

My favorite quote:

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you
Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne
