Yoga for Kids, Tweens, & Teens

Evolve offers age-appropriate yoga classes that help kids access the life-changing benefits of mindfulness, building their strength and flexibility as they grow. Older siblings are welcome to join as paid participants. Our classes are split into age groups in order to provide the best instruction through each phase of childhood and adolescence:

Ages 3-5: For little ones, our yoga classes keep imagination and play front and center. Kids will explore basic yoga poses as they learn to hop like a frog, kick like a horse, or balance like a tree; music and puppets add to the fun. 

Ages 6-9: The next level of our yoga series is an age-appropriate introduction to Vinyasa (flow) yoga, helping kids build strength, flexibility, self-respect, and positive body awareness. We’ll incorporate dance, song, breath techniques, and games; we’ll also help kids begin practicing mindfulness in ways that make sense for them. 

Tween Yoga (Ages 10-12): Older kids will continue their Vinyasa (flow) practice, developing body awareness, physical control, and self-confidence through more challenging poses (with plenty of room for modifications). We’ll still incorporate games, music, and breathing exercises; we’ll also add partner poses and group poses to help create a positive, cooperative environment. 

Teen Yoga (Ages 13+): For teenagers, we’ve designed our yoga classes to build inner and outer strength, self-confidence, and compassion. Students will practice Vinyasa (flow) yoga, mindfulness meditation, and restorative asana without losing the fun spirit of a youth-oriented class; they’ll leave refreshed, relaxed, and more comfortable in their own skin.

Teen Pilates

Pilates is an inspiring, low-stress approach to physical and mental conditioning. Through a series of movements that begin with the “core” - the abdominal, back, and gluteus muscles - and flow outward from there, people of all ages can discover increased strength, flexibility, and alignment. Pilates will help your teenager love their body for life! 

Our expert instructors teach Teen Pilates with a focused eye on the guidance and support that young adults need when approaching a new challenge. Our classes are appropriate for beginning Pilates students (no experience required), ages 12-16. Due to equipment requirements, students must be at least 5’ tall. Mindfulness Meditation

Recent studies show a measurable, positive change in brain growth after practicing insight meditation daily for only two weeks. Luckily, meditation and mindfulness aren’t just for grown-ups! Evolve’s Mindfulness Meditation program helps teens and adults build habits that improve concentration, decrease insomnia, increase cognition, and regulate emotions.

Kids’ Yoga Birthday Parties

Evolve loves birthdays! We’ll create a fun, unique experience that leaves all partygoers feeling positive and relaxed. Yoga birthday parties can be scheduled on Saturday or Sunday afternoons, including a 60-minute, age-specific yoga class. $10/child or $100 minimum; for scheduling or more details; please fill out the contact form below.


Yoga on Campus

We happily bring yoga to schools! Our expert instructors are licensed, insured, and accredited; we’ll craft a series of age-appropriate yoga classes that help students develop concentration capabilities, stress management skills, and positive body awareness.
