Lindsay Derucher

Lindsay has had a lifelong love for movement. She grew up swimming, figure skating and running wild outdoors. She took her first yoga class at age 15 and was drawn to the mind/body connection yoga provided. She  practiced on and off throughout the years, but it was a move to Raleigh, NC that Lindsay found her teachers and committed herself to a daily yoga practice. As her practice continued to deepen, she knew she wanted to become a teacher and share her love for yoga with others.

In Lindsay’s classes, you’ll find a playful, lighthearted vibe! Lindsay offers thoughtful, easy to understand alignment cues that make yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone from the raw beginner to a seasoned practitioner. With intention, she weaves a message, or heart theme into each week’s class to uplift and inspire her students and has been known to have maybe a little too much fun creating the perfect playlist to flow to. :)

When not on her mat, you can find Lindsay at local coffee shops, dreaming up new recipes, hiking and exploring with her family, or curled up with her adorable rescue dog Scout reading a good book!

Lindsay offers the deepest of gratitude to her family their love and support, and her teachers Kerri Marchionni and Lila Rasa Brown for encouraging her to shine bright and abide in her abundant heart!

Techniques I teach/provide:

I've been at Evolve since:

When I'm not teaching at Evolve, you can find me:

When not at evolve you can find me running around the triangle with my kiddos and husband. They are my favorite crew! We take our rescue dog Scout anywhere we can! I also love to cook and listen to loud music, it's a sweet life!

My favorite thing about teaching at Evolve is:

The community. From the moment I started coming to Evolve it’s always been such a sweet inclusive space. The people are what really make Evolve the place I always want to come back to both as a student and a teacher. This place is hOMe. <3

My morning routine is:

Before I leave bed: a deep breath, a big stretch. Saying thank you. Minute meditation. And then my COFFEE with raw sugar and coconut creamer. I'm a modern day yogi with young children, so I do what I can, when I can!

I'm inspired by:

I draw inspiration from so many things! My family, nature, music, food (!!!) movement and travel. Though my travel schedule is a bit more limited now, I love making bucket lists of the places I'd like to go, food I'd like to try and music I want to hear live. It keeps me feeling connected and "in the flow".

Best advice I've received:

"It goes fast" ( said in best czech accent). My great uncle Tony said this all of the time, and it’s true. It is a reminder to me to appreciate each moment. Our time here is short!

My favorite quote:

"Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" ~Mary Oliver
